Power injection with a TEE

I am adding power injection to a prop at the beginning and end of the string. I would like to do the power injection with a TEE cable since the start and end pixels are near each other. At the end injection point I think I do not need to connect the data channel. I can accomplish this by cutting the male pin inside the cable. Before I try to cut the pin, I wanted to hear other suggestions from folks in the forum.

That's the right way to do it. You don't want to bridge the data from input to output

One way is to use a 2 core cable from the psu, leaving the data line not connected even though you've used a 3 pin pigtail to connect to the prop.
