Hi all
apologies if this has already been covered, but i am struggling to find much info on it.
I have a Pi4 that i want to plan on using this year for some very basic sequence, but then step it up for next year
Is there any info on how to setup a Pi to run a sequence with a Pixlite MKII...
Thanks Graham, definitely read the 101 front to back and refer to it when I find something I don’t understand. I do understand the 3 leds per pixel.
It’s more around power draw and pixel Performance I was struggling with and at what stage should I be injecting also with how many strands I could...
Thank you this has made me think I should probably build my own and dual power supply for my first control box. This will give me a good starting point for next year. Shouldn’t really take me long looking at what’s involved.
Now just to research the long range vs the standard and make some decisions
Thank you so much. That makes a lot more sense to do with current draw, think building my own box might be a better option. That way I can dual PSU. One question if you don’t mind.
The Xlights layout you say is 11 outputs. Can you please tell me quickly what strands those outputs are running...

the fact they are scanning and its not stopping...
Thanks @abundy yea I have come to the reality of building my own is the way to go. I just have set a more realistic time frame than this year , definitely have something this year but not the what I had hopped I would get together. Lots to learn :D
Ok awesome thanks guys for all the advice. LOR just seemed good cause it’s all complete. But I’m good with building controllers, But I am more overwhelmed & confused now than before. Hahaha
I need to watch some behind the scenes videos. I thought this was going to be easy. Hahahaha. I’m sure...
Ok cool thanks for the info, so that's software sorted, I was looking at Xlights as it does look awesome. Excuse my ignorance but you can use Xlights with LOR right?
So what about hardware LOR still not great? I work away and have young kids so was thinking plug and play was the way to go, if I...
