This is what I did as you said, didnt work

I got the following WLED setup for a smaller mega tree (got 12 strings, 22 nodes per string) , so it is one long line of LEDs zig-zag up and down as shown below. Power and data are supplied at the location of the blue arrow. What would be the best way to transform that into Xlight Tree?
