    Looking for advice please

Obviously, you are not doing anything this year unless you are spending a ton at this point. Therefore, my recommendation is to sit back, educate yourself, test Xlights without spending a penny. There is so much help out here, you won't go wrong either way. However, with LOR you are stuck with them.

Large Spinner: How do you place on brick?

Thanks. I am probably going to put two anchors in the brick: to and bottom. Screw an eye bolt into those. Then run a rope cable through the conduit and use on off those tightening hooks to make it more tight

Large Spinner: How do you place on brick?

I have a spinner that is about 48" in diameter (~1.2m). It is going over a garage door on brick maybe 10 feet up. What is the best way to secure it? I was thinking to mount it to 1/2" emt, mounting screw and hold on brick, mount the conduit to that

Coro: Creating a new hole in a prop

I sent that to them already. Once I encountered it, I ignored the issue the first time until I ran into the pattern a second time. Looked to see if there was any more I could get out of the pixels distance, how the seed pixels went in, or anything. It is just a small delta in how far the holes...

Coro: Creating a new hole in a prop

I am fairly certain I know the answer already, but my OCD is kind of taking over my thinking here. I have a spinner with 840 seed pixel holes. On the prop, there are I think 16 sections where the holes extend beyond the 4" spacing for the pixels. One way to overcome this is to splice pixels 16...

    Genius Pro 32 Controller

By no means am I advocating for this controller, but I powered it on for the first time today. I can only compare it to my old Falcon 16v3 that is problematic. Setup was easy and fairly straightforward. I avoided hiccups I had as a newbie with the Falcon. Both are similar and no negative to...

    Prop and Lighting Issue

Thank you. I am back into my learning curve in Xlights now. I set the F16v3 and sequences about 5 years ago and never did anything else. I am basically starting over again this year. I am glad that the issues on the F16v3 went away on the factory reset. Now learning about DDP and trying plan out...

    Prop and Lighting Issue

I wanted to give a thanks to @AAH, @Kent, and @merryoncherry. All of this helped solve the issue. It took resetting the F16v3 to factory defaults and starting the board from scratch. Port 1 is finally working again. Using DDP made it much easier to create the props in Xlights. Still a few little...

    Prop and Lighting Issue

I set the F16v3 up long ago and went through that old setup video again. Setting up the Universes, there are 96 in total starting at Channel 1 to Channel 510 (170 pixels). This is most definitely the reason for the issue, but I haven't tracked down how to resolve it yet. When I went to test node...

    Prop and Lighting Issue

@merryoncherry Thank you for the information. I went through this test as described. I spot checked and narrowed down to where there was a node failure. It occurs at Node 171 on all of my strings. I have 12 strings of 240 pixels each. In all cases, Node 1-170 is perfectly fine. Once I hit Node...

    Prop and Lighting Issue

First off, I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this issue. I am hoping it is. I am just starting to design my layout in Xlights. The first prop I am testing is a 480 pixel mini tree from Pixel Paradise. I am using a Falcon F16v3 to run the project. Below are the things I have done...

5cm Seed Pixels Initial Prop Lessons Learned

Thanks. I thought about that too. Enter the number of pixels I want on the string logged in to the Falcon, see where it stop, and put a piece of tape there to show where I need to cut. That will make it easier. Work smarter, not harder.\ I ordered a set of aligator clips. I have extra port...

5cm Seed Pixels Initial Prop Lessons Learned

I am just starting to design for this year. I will be using mostly seed pixels. They are lighter, easier to store, and are definitely bright enough. So, I started to piece together my first mini tree. 20 pixels per strand, 24 strands, and a 50 pixel star. I ran into several issues to start and...

    Excited about Seed Pixels

I actually viewed your webpage or at least I think it is yours on using seed pixels. It was part of the reason I chose to look back into it. Just the ease of storing is the biggest benefit.
