Step 1 . get the controller setup and running on your Ethernet network. (,do NOT plug the e682 into LOR USB485). It should be plugged into your network router,/switch
Step 2. Configure E682 for unicast , and setup e682 for the universe s
Step 3. Setup LOR network for the e682 ip address...
I run two networks. Both sequencing and show computers have Two network cards ( one for lights and one for home computer network)
This keeps the show traffic off my home network, but still lets me quickly transfer files from the sequencing computer to the show computer
Also.. the power supplies i bought (Meanwell while not from ray they also have one) were set to 220v input... in the US we use 110v (the little orange slider switch)
this GREATLY effects the output voltage of the Power Supply....and perhaps damages the unit
so:
MAKE SURE THE INPUT VOLTAGE...
So I received my lights from ray Wu. I got the ws2801 12v 100 pixel stings.
I made one string that is 158 pixels long with a 30 foot leader (made with spt-2) using 3 null pixels. With out power injection the 158 pixel string worked just fine no noticable color shifting at the end of the...
Re: Re: CCP vs Ray Wu (am I missing something here?)
CCR is 3 LEDs per "pixel"
50 individually controllable segments of 3 LEDs each
As for the CCP there are a total of 100 individually controllable pixels
I did email him about some ws2811 pixels which said 5v in the specs but 12v in the title....
he told me they were 5v
I figured if he had 12v, we would have given me a link to the 12v or offered to sell me 12v... he didn't So I figured he didn't have them
my next project I will have to...
So I purchased the (4) of the Ray Wu WS2801 12v 100-pixel string:

I got extra "in case"
Now I need to get a 12v Powersupply(s)
Based on...
OK.
So I modified the diagram to show the ground connected from the controller to the string that has a separate power supply.
See attachment.
Does this configuration make sense for what I'm doing?
