Unicast to a device not on the network can kill your transmissions... Especially with the ip stack on the pi. Basically it retries over and over to find (arp) the device and gets in the way of other traffic. Multicast over wifi tends to flood the airwaves.

I remember seeing someone had an infrared version of the pi camera (ir filter removed) which would make it ideal for nighttime (after show is over). I'm not at home, but I think it was one of the usual sources....I can check later...

Depending on where you're at, I have a couple dr4's that I could part with if you just wanted to stay consistent.

The j1sys website stills says this multi universe functionality is 'coming soon' on the pixad8.....does anyone know if it's still anticipated on this platform..? Now that I have mine working, I'd like to use it with 180 pixels on each channel to make wiring my matrix much easier Any hope here?

Thanks for the chip reference. I'll order up a couple. In the mean time, just for grins I tried doing the tftp put from my wife's Windows 7 laptop and it worked. Oddly, it doesn't work from my Mac--not sure what the difference would be. I wasn't able to try tftp from my Windows Fusion...

OK, renard with DMX firmward seems to correct the response lag in LSP's test mode. I'm having trouble getting LSP to spit out data when it plays back a sequence now...

Hey! I'm playing with my new ecg-dr4, new lsp, and old-and-new renard hardware (RenSS8, and Ren48LSD). I'm noticing a pretty significant delay in response on the renards from LSP. During sequence playback as well as simply in "test" hardware...I've also noticed that it sometimes doesn't...
