My Panel is 7x6 (42 Panels) and is enclosed in a wooden frame. The front has a clear plastic that is siliconed shut. The back has three melamine panels that are sealed shut . I use rubber gasket around the perimeter and then 3 melamine panels press against it and are held in place with 1x2 with...
I use PLA for most of the brackets and connectors I use to attach props of PVC to my fence. I have also used PETG for stuff that is heavy. You can get away with PLA if you increase the density to 25% or more. The UV from the Sun is what does it in, but I print a ton so if they are brittle I just...
hmmm went with a new Boscoyo mesmerizer (1117 pixels) its HUGE. I have 5000 pixels on a slow boat form China heading this was. Also working on putting together a 5x7 P4 panel display, but my power distribution boards are back ordered so waiting on that. and i think that blew most of this years...
Well you should have a back folder set in xLights so that's one copy. I use the same Christmas folder for my show and just add (mostly) to what I have. Then when I upload to the controller, I make a new playlist.
Don't forget to set up 'Use Smart Receiver' on your prop if you are chaining them, otherwise they are dumb receivers (make sure they are set to 0 on the rotary dial and all dip switches are ON. ask me how I know :)
Finishing the 8' x 4' 800 pixel Matrix. Now to build a frame to hold the matrix up. Not hanging it on the house or a fence, it will be a stand alone in the yard.
Not sure what else you would want to do. You got yourself a "mega" tree right there. proportional strands of pixels in a semi-circle fashion at standard spacing. Model that up in xLights and you are good to go. The only thing else would be to put star toppers on them.
Those numbers are foreign to me. I am doing a small mega tree, 8 feet high using 1 1/4" EMT threaded pipe with a portable hole that is 6" high and weighs a metric &(!#% ton.
