    Show documentation

As many of us in this crazy hobby, I find myself being a little OCD, and do a lot of documentation to keep myself on track. I keep an Excel file, saved to my OneDrive so I can access it anywhere, with the details of my layout. Each section of the display has its own tab, so I visually map out...

Free new sequence - Ode To Joy - Epic Remix

Really like this one a lot! Love the transitions, and the whole theme of it. The video doesn't have the best audio, still trying to figure out recording all this lol, but the sequence on my house looks amazing! Ode To Joy, From the 1988 Christmas Classic, DIE HARD

    MegaTree Sequesnce - XLights

I'm pretty sure the password for all the old sequences is xlights, lower case. The newer ones do not have a password.

    4 wire addressable RGB pixels

Curious as to why you picked this particular set? Looks like the connectors are the JST type, at least from the pictures on that link you sent. Are you going to modify the connectors for your mega tree? I have a bunch coming from RayWu hopefully today, got delayed by the Midwest storm yesterday...

    Controllers. What to buy?

@TerryK I wasn't suggesting it was an issue so much, but since there was talk here of support from the vendor, I just remember reading posts from either Experience Lights, or the ones who are part of it, they specifically, and "officially" do not support 5V pixels with their boards. Thank you...

    Controllers. What to buy?

Based on the 5V pixels, and looking for support from the vendor, I wouldn't look at the Experience Lights controllers. Experience Lights officially doesn't support 5V on their controllers, though technically you could use it, and I have seen others do it with success. I guess their position is...

    Pixels going wrong direction

That is great to here! Paul helped me the other day as well, that Zoom Room is great, and the hosts don't get enough credit. I also had an issue with the single string function, when running in groups. It is maddening to see a single prop behave the way you think it should, then group it and...

    SmartReceiver V2.01

I was contemplating the same question about power supplier for my receiver box build and going with a smaller one (say 100v vs. the standard 350v.), but the advantages were not there. Meanwell does make some smaller sized 100v power supplies, so if you wanted to make a more "compact" receiver...

    Moving to xlights advice

That was a fun read! Went from some planning to a fully lit up house, pretty cool. Love the tree!

Planning to join the pixel club 2022

I was in the same spot as you about this time last year. I only got one mega tree up this year and a couple animations done for it. This hobby sure does have a steep learning curve, but once you do get a hang of it, expanding seems like it will be a lot easier than starting out for sure!

    Driveway Arch

Wow, that is amazing! Love the attention to detail! Quick question, how are you going to store the fences? Do they come apart?
