Unfortunately, it seems it is cheaper to buy a new set of lights to get the power transformer than to simply buy one separately. That's a shame.

@David_AVD I just did that and it works!! From Bunnings $12 Lytworx set with 250 bulbs, I snipped off the cable and grafted onto the old tree strand with an inline switch. Now I need to find a spare 31v 3.6W power adaptor to "fix" the new light strand I just chopped. At least the time pressure...

Thanks for the reply @David_AVD I was able to find others with "similar" adaptor (Lytworx brand in Bunnings) but they all now seem to have the two-pin connector with the IP44 screw-on hood. Can that plug-type be obtained anywhere so that I could fit it to the old strands?

Is this 31V AC or does the ~ indicate "approx" 6W? I've noticed that some Lytworx products have 31V supplies but with screw thread and an IP44 connector. Are there adaptors around that would allow me to use one of those with the tree strands? I think it's about 8 strands of 80 lights being...

Hey All, My Balsam hill Xmas tree has integrated lights and this power supply. This year, it is not powering on. Jaycar and Bunnings had no solution today so I'm online hunting. Would appreciate any suggestions or observations.
