Some good options here
Something i never got to document on my 2023 build
I went with the button (with long 12v wiring to front fence ) triggering the timer relay which controlled the speaker output directly - there were some caveats i had to deal with using SP relay, like going mono, but it got...
I know you are prob smash busy @Cranzy with organising all the stuff for tomorrow, taking deliveries (LOL), i can only imagine what might be involved in setting something like this up, i missed last years.
But... Is there any more info on the final itinerary / agenda / session / presenters /...
Hey thanks @Johnnyboy for the kind words! Much appreciated!
Some close up photos of my pixel matrix and hangers...
zip ties were necessary as the wind swung the pixel matrix and all the rings migrated left or right of where they were supposed to be.

September 2023
No pixel purchases this month because this is where other fun begins...
Now that i had the model wiring kind of all sorted out (to a degree at least)
I realised I had to use the backup DigOct <gulp> because not enough pixel ports to run my indulgent light behaviour.
And with...
August 2023
Now time to purchase 600 x 10cm spaced seed pixels for the actual matrix... Done

I set out to design my mini mega tree in fusion next, just needed to make sure i had everything right...
Base was an idea - pine, worked out...
Now that R2 is out of the way ... let me continue ... late to the party as usual...
Thinking back now...
2023 - the day
Pretty sure this was back in March
I have these esp8266 and esp32 all over the house providing a bucket load of home automation and RGB LED lighting and i've written...
You should be right going down that path - if you are 12v - you wont need too much power injection but depens on your density blah blah.
it's pretty much how i wired my matrix last year and will again this year.
my data lengths were only 4m from controller though
Matrix (3m x 2m) was just...
WLED by itself can't call external HTTP APIs (main branch) only on itself - part of the presets config
WLED can do MQTT though but nope not complicating it
I was looking at a usermod for WLED to call externall http APIs, on button push, it would signal (via FPP API) and tell FPP to play an...
Oh yeah, haha thx, was referring to the esp32 so gpios shouldn't be an issue.
So playlist execution is supported by the one button on ESPPixelStick - good start
This next bit may or may not help envisaging my plan... but...
Goal
I need to run my angel wings
5 buttons, each will run a coloured...
Hey @Martin Mueller you'd know how easy this might be (bc your name is all over the repo) ;)
ESPixelStick seems to only have 1 button by default - how easy would it be to make it have 6 ?
and then config each of those 6 buttons to run a certain fseq off sdcard?
couldn't see any obvious button /...
Hey when you say remote mode - are you saying esppixelstick firmware can play the .fseq file format to the pixels directly?
haha - I just looked at the source and answered my own question - yes it does ;)

WT32s have boot issues - i can aclaim to that - you can get passed them by adding a 100uf or 470uf 16v electrolytic capaciter between GND and EN (W_EN) pin
this delays the boot by holding the EN to GND (reset state) so when the cap is full it lets the juice flow through and lets the WT32 boot...
