Sorry dumb questions haha. I only got a 3D printer a few months ago and just printing stuff at random. It was too late in the year for me to make anything for my display last year other than gutter clips and seed poppers.
What types of filament is the recommended for Australian outdoors, I've...
Where did you get the files for those stakes? I'm still debating doing a small forest but I am not that keen on doing all the splicing between stakes but that may change over the year.
I got everything off AliExpress, took a few weeks to get here. If your power supply is 36v you need to ensure your board, relay and buttons all work with 36v. I haven't seen how common it is but you might struggle, the board here is 3-30v for example.
I know Dec 1 is a good goal but after doing this for 4 years I have noticed that people only really start looking in numbers about the 2nd week of December. Plus you can always iterate.
They look like bullets so shouldn't really be a manufacturing issue (some seeds have blobs of glue where the first pixel is meant to be to cover manufacturing issue), have you got your props setup in xlights with a null pixel? See this thread for how to set it, you would want to check to see if...
For anyone reading this later and wondering, I managed to get it working again by changing it from mode 1.1 to 1.2. I actually prefer mode 1.2 (allows time to be restarted on button pressing) so I have left it.
Great thanks for the guidance, I will keep playing tonight. Just to confirm, is it normal for the relays to have the red LED lit all the time, and then the green only when triggered?
Also, any idea how to reset the timer to default configuration? I couldn't find much from google.
Hi, is anyone able to help me troubleshoot, I think I had it all working last night, everything was lit up, I haven't plugged it into the speakers yet but when I pushed the button the timer started going and the green lights on the relays turned on. I was trying to adjust the time but now it...
Glad you got it all sorted, don't worry we are all new at some stage and lucky to be able to learn from the awesome people here. Ask questions as you need, it is a rewarding hobby but can be complex.
I dont have a Falcon so don't know for sure, but does test mode do more than 100 pixels at once? My pixel tester only does 300, I also setup my props in FPP and test there, have you tried that?
Hey, when you say cut down to 270 did you physically cut them? It's not a problem but you can also just add null pixels to the end of props to cover the extra 30. That said you might need them for spares moving forward so you would cut anyway, just an option.
This sounds mostly like an xlights...
Yes, definitely don't send power down the wrong way, you could blow all the pixels. Check the wires on the edge, it should have a white dot on it to show positive? Best thing to do is cut off a single pixel and plug it into your controller on test mode to see if it is the right way around. Maybe...
Just to expand on my post, just to give you a bit of visibility on what I am planning and have done with a seed mega tree the past few years. I've probably got a somewhat unique tree as I am near the ocean so get wind, salt and rain. I've got a 24 x 72 seed pixel mega tree (180 degrees) at 10cm...
You won't be able to drive 3000 seeds off one port so you will need to cut up the pixels on the roll and add some pigtails or cable to go to the controller over a few ports. The pixels will work, assuming you have a 12v power supply. They are also 4 cable, which has additional redundancy built...
