Ahh yes thank you I didn't even consider when not at full load. I spoke to Ray and he thinks it's safe to run the LED's between 14 and 11.5 volts which is way more variation than I need. Keep in mind this is only for the WS2812B 12V version and might vary depending on strip choice

Thanks very much Eddy,
For anyone that reads this in the future. I was able to get clean stable signal from running 20-30 metres of Microphone cable (Twin and Shield) from the advatek 16 mk2 to a "delay" psu and then power injecting. I'm unsure what kind of pressure this puts on the advatek...
Hi There,
I'm designing a setup where I will always be using a 10m extension cable (whether or not I need it) for each strip. Obviously this is inefficient but it means that I can always have the correct voltage going to the led strips without having to consider changing cable thickness loads...
Hi there,
Got a quirky idea I'm hoping will work. From my calculations so far it seems if I use 1.5mm cable with an 8A load i can only go about 10 metres before I lose too much voltage. (Feeding back in forward 4 Amps)
What I'm hoping to do is run a "delay" psu which essentially has
A long...
Thanks very much guys,
I've read that 12v systems are less efficient as they have to drop voltage down to the 2v that the LED's require anyway so if one moves to a 5v system do you need to be power injecting even more often than 5 metres?
Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and come from a professional lighting background. I'm looking at doing some custom fixtures and from research I'm thinking I'll be going the WS2812B
I need a 60 LED/m 12v unit as these will be portable units.
My question is, I can't seem to find a max amperage...
