As others have mentioned, it's a fine line between no visitors and houses that have people lined up for blocks to see it.
I am into my 4th year with pixels and it's only this year that I've seen a bit of an uptick in visitors. I have a facebook page, but I haven't gone out of my way to promote...
St. Charbel's Youth Association – "Light the Night" Light Show Success!
St. Charbel's Youth Association's "Light the Night" light show, which was held last Friday night at their church in Punchbowl, NSW.
This year's event was extra special, as they introduced xLights and RGB pixels into the...
Definitely not interchangable as they're different voltages.
DC typically means Direct Current, however they are both DC as they switch AC (240v home electricity) to DC for the lights.
I would be guessing as to what EL means, closest google gets me is EL: Electroluminescent wire, is a stiff...
JT-DC36V6W-E1-IP44 - this is 36 volts, 6 watts and IP44: An IP rating of IP44 means that a device is “protected against solid foreign objects of 1.0mm Ø and greater” and is “protected against splashing water”. In other words, water splashed against the enclosure from any direction will have no...
My understanding of power is you can't really have too much. The pixels will only draw what they need.
So long as you have enough power, and you add the power at points accounting for voltage drop (ie: so you minimise any), you are good to go.
Back feeding isn't really a thing - I mean, sure...
I can't see any issue with your wiring. Confirming the 150 pixels is the end of the line?
Only thing I could suggest is testing by running an additional 2 wire cable to the very end so you would have power going in at the start, middle and end.
Can you do a quick paint / sketch drawing what you're doing? Just lines with V+, V- and data is sufficient and any shape for prop - does not need to be precise, just an accurate diagram of your wiring.
I don't get any more than 1 car at a time most often. From other places I visit with the family, it definitely increases as it nears closer to Christmas eve with some of the places that pull big crowds being impossible to get near on the last few nights and the weekend prior.
I had something similiar happen to me last season. It's more than likely in need of replacing rather than repair.
If the falcon isn't available locally, depending on your use case, the other brands receivers are often compatible eg. Hanson.
Can you access the FPP browser portal?
Share some screen shots of your pixel outputs showing channels etc.
Did you ever backup your FPP config whilst it was working? If yes, perhaps try and restore from backup.
I have just indicated my attendance (Apologies, I have been travelling and just catching up).
Unfortunately, I can't make dinner or Sunday.
Put me down for the F-Prop build as well please.
I had a similar issue. Mine was a smart receiver (Falcon v3). Lost 2 ports out of 4.
Replaced it with a Hanson receiver (thanks to @Skymaster ) and I was back in business.
