I have 77 panels in my matrix and the video is not good quality, it's viewable. What do you consider good quality? Just do the math, each panel is 32x16. The further away you are the better it will look.

To add to Wolfie, vixen's effects aren't all location based. This was the deal breaker for me. I know they have made some changes recently, but still not a 100%. The effects in xlights are better. Xlights allows for importing from other sequencers. Vixen doesn't. Example, I was able to get a LoR...
There isn't currently a way. But if you get one of the developers interested enough, they might help. Maybe that's why Gil was asking about the format, maybe he's curious. If you can get the sequence into an lms file, then yes you can import.
By the way, you didn't start a debate, that's just...
Everyone has their opinion, but as an old LoR user and current xlights user, I don't agree with anything EmmienLightFan said.
To say it's easier to run a show in LoR is just silly. Nothing beats FPP.

Superstar files can be directly imported into xlights. Importing an lms file is the wrong way to go. You will get a ton of node level effects. If you must use lms then add as a data layer.
I was a LoR user. I decided to just start over. If you want to stop using LoR and go strictly xlights...
Extremely painful? I thought you were a developer? Anyway though, I'm sorry, but xlights is not at all hard to use. There are some things that I would agree aren't that intuitive, but figuring those out are a manual away or a post on a forum.

I'm surprised this wasn't a higher priority. In my opinion, it's one of the most important features. I hope you guys get it working on future releases.

I don't think the shipping is free, he just lumps it in the price.
Shipping is not that bad. You can't look at the posted prices on his website, you need to request a quote.

Yes learning new things can be a drag. If you decide not to try xLights you will be missing out. There are tons of videos and online help. You won't be sorry.
I hope you give it a try.

Absolutely. I don't understand why you wouldn't do that. Sometimes there might be a need to change the brightness on a per effect basis.

Just curious, are the new "nutcracker" effects being added location based like the wipe effect? So, being able to apply the effect over a whole house model?
