I'm also a newbie and the hardest thing I am finding is getting my head around xLights.
After you read the 101, I suggest you head to the xLights Wiki and start playing.
Brand new at this!
I have made a sequence in xLights that I want to send to my Baldrick 8 Port v1 so the pixels go flashy, flashy.
What are the steps to do this. My searching has not found instructions. :(
Thanks.
Yep, used to be called penny washers in the olden days, but we don't have pennies here anymore...
...also known as mudguard washers in the Antipodes. :)
I'm planning mine atm.
Have purchased a lawn edge kit to use as a base https://lawnedge.com.au/product/garden-edging and using a garden pot saucer for the top https://www.bunnings.com.au/garden-city-plastic-200mm-black-grow-pot-saucer_p0152858

I can definitely recommend the ready to run Baldrick 8-port from Alan - I bought 2 fitted with 500w power supplies.
Plug in a string of pixels, turn on test mode and in 5 minutes you will have a display up and running that will be as good as, if not better, than your standard lights from...
Also a newbie so I went for the Baldrick ready to run system from Alan at Hanson Electronics.
What I know you could write on the back of a postage stamp so perhaps Alan could explain the pros and cons of Baldrick?
I went the same way - bought mine ready-to-run from Hanson as it is quicker to get going and less chance for errors on my part.
Have used them to test all of my custom strings and both controllers and all strings are OK...
... now for the hard part...
pixel pushing and writing sequences in xLights.
Greetings
I have 5 ChromaBulbs from Extreme Lighting Displays-3 standing up and 2 hanging down together with 5 143pixel custom strings from Paul at Light it Up LEDs.
Once assembled I would like to be able to use sequences from other members in addition to making my own.
Where is the best place...
