Thank you @Mark_M - I'm looking forward to viewing them.
2018 - Didn't know the site existed.
2019 - Knew the site existed but didn't realise the mini events were an annual thing
2020 - Made a mental note the mini was in May; arrived to find it was already held
2021 - Who the heck knows? Maybe...
Hi @edward57 - this may not be the best thread to pose those questions. I suggest https://auschristmaslighting.com/forums/computers-cabling-other-miscellaneous-hardware.8/ as the better forum to post and get responses.
As predicted, my house is just holding up some dumb lights this season. I'm going to take advantage of the map and drive around Adelaide to get a sense of the local scene. From there, I expect to say hello online to some of you and perhaps seek an invite to visit your property during daylight...
That looks amazing @paullyxmas76
I had to watch the start of it a couple of times to realise there were not floodlights mounted somewhere shining on the whole property - the red lighting right at the start was much brighter than I'd expected. Thank you for sharing!!
Hey @franky_888, you thought I'd be crazy for doing a whole roof and yet ... here's @paullyxmas76 to show what it looks like. :)

Has anyone with a corrugated iron roof attempted to attach lights to a series of conduits, and then...
Hi @denno020 - Your original post was made in Nov 2018 and I am curious how these are holding up a year later. Were they good enough for your Xmas lighting last year? Have you checked them out recently to see whether they will need to be re-done for 2019? I was searching the forums for a...
Thanks also for the welcome @bpratt and @djgra79 - I'm under no illusions now that I'm going to go from regular lighting to Griswold overnight, although it may be the safest way - to be complete in the transformation before Mrs @TAC realises the house is to be festooned. :)
Thanks @AAH - I have found the videos to be the more useful way to approach this, and then gone back to the 101 manual to make more sense of it. It seems to be the same information, so that's not to knock the manual - it's just my preferred way of learning. It's as close as I can get to seeing...
Hi everyone,
I joined here some months ago but didn't get around to posting to introduce myself at the time.
I've been working my way through the 101 recently and have to say it's a sobering read. I didn't know how much went into these lighting displays. I had plans to decorate my house this...
