I was able to get it to work. I upgraded my lights to a later version and it was compatible with uploading the file to the app. Then it recognized the smart receiver. Thanks a lot for the insight and direction on where to look.

I also went to fpp 7.5 with 2022.01 lights and I still receive the same error. It was a brand new raspberry pi 4

FPP Rasberry PI is v8.1. and Xlights is 2022.01. I noticed that you state to use DDP for the falcon controller vs. E131...is there a reason for that as I have E131. It works fine with the Falcon player if I switch to player on the status bar. I am wondering if the FPP player isn't compatible...

When I use the FPP connect in XLights, I am able to upload the sequences to the falcon controller without any issue but when I try to push to the raspberry pi master FPP player, I receive errors. I have to manually drag and drop the sequence to the FPP Player and this works fine. Not sure why...
