xLights 2024.16.1 crashing macOS

After updating to 2024.16 then 16.1, xLights crashes every time I change from Controllers Tab (after loading) to Layout or Sequence Tabs.
My machine is older (still running macos 10.15), so it's not the newest - but still ran it fine on 2024.15 with no issues.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them, or any ideas on how to fix.
I'm trying to get this years show up & running, & this has slowed progress

Gave up on Mac. Kept crashing. Pc life for x lights.

– bug (dkulp) Fix crash on MacOS if monitor with a running preview is disconnected
– bug (derwin12) Fix crash when updating aliases on Strand mappings
– bug (dkulp) Fix crashes on layout panel if protocol not set

A few things stand out in the xLights 2024.17 release notes. Might be worth updating in case one of those is the cause.

– change(dkulp) MacOS builds now require MacOS 11 or newer
