Hi everyone! My name is Dave from Ontario, Canada and I'm new to the site. I'm retired from automotive manufacturing, was an electrician and Maintenance Salary employee there most of my career. Quite a few friends from work have setup Christmas Displays and I'm am wanting to learn more about Pixel lighting and xLight. I'm hoping to learn enough to put together my first display for Christmas 2025!

Welcome. If you haven't already ready the 101 manual that is available on this site as it's a great starting point. Also loads of YouTube videos around to get you up to speed. It's good you've given yourself time and aiming for 2025 though as it is peak crazy season for everyone now...

Thanks Roly! I've been reading the manual, watching YouTube until my eyes hurt and messing around with the software and some possible hardware solutions. I' want to start small, an eve string, window frame, maybe a couple of stars and snowflakes and a swing bell....
