IMG_4074.pngOn my tree I’m getting some weird over lap on the last 3 strings,

I’ve tried check sequence.. show nothing

I’ve looked through the models in layout.. can’t see any thing.. xlights has managed and auto selected

I’ve even started a fresh folder from scratch and re drew all the items and layout and remapped all my sequences.. still there

Leaves me to believe that it potentially has something to do with the way it was all punched into my controllers (using advatek controllers) went back through with advatek assistant updated the firmware on them and selected for it to auto do the channels.. still there

Any advice on where I should be looking to try correct this, it’s driving me nuts haha

Check that you have updated the layout to your controller. Have your controller on and connected

On the Controller tab, click upload output.

retest and see if that fixes it.

Does the overlap show in xLights in the model & house preview? Or only on the props themselves?
If only on the props themselves, follow the advice of re-uploading your outputs, but it sounds like thats done.
You shouldnt _need_ to use Advatek assistant other than to validate the Universe/Channel mapping is correct

If it shows in xLights, drill down the prop until you get to the node level data. You can then right click on say the incorrectly coloured pixel node, and "find effects that set this" - which will show you everthing that's contributing to that pixel.
It could be a group that has the prop you werent expecting.

Also - don't forget to do a full-render as well.

Upload to controller has never worked for me with my advatek controllers

Only does it on the prop it’s self during the show,

it’s gotta be in the inputs into the controller, I’m gonna have to study up how to do this correctly as I forget ever year the correct procedure

If you're going to do it by hand, I would put together a list of props, and ports, and the start+end universe and channels. Whether that comes from xlights or advatek assistant doesnt matter the first time round. Then go through and check every one in the other system to make sure it matches the sheet.
The reason why I say an external list is it gives you the "master" that everything should follow. It also allows you to easily tick off everything that's been done and checked, and make sure there are no loose ends.

Also untick "auto lay out models" on the controller definition in xLights so that it doesn't fiddle with your configuration.

Pixlite4 mk2
Pixlite16 mk2

Latest version of xlights
It's there any particular message that comes up when trying to use the upload function?

Can’t remember the exact msg as I’m not home but basically say something along the lines of controllers unavailable for upload..

I run a rpi with fpp I connect to via wifi (192.168.1.200) from my laptop with xlights on it then it goes from the rpi eth (192.168.2.200) out to the controllers pixlite 16 (192.168.2.198) and pixlite 4 (192.168.2.197)

Does it not connect to the controllers because they are on .2 network

I’d really like to setup so I don’t have to manually setup via assistant

I'm surprised Assistant works. The older (Mk2) Advatek's required direct connectivity to the controllers (PC on same network) - this would be the reason xLights is not uploading.

Yeah it’s a pain to connect to them, have to change ips and run a separate eth cable kinda really annoying haha
