Hey everyone,
I’ve been having some issues with my pixels. Some of the pixels have been randomly lighting up blue, green and red, as shown in the image above.

I had a show running last year with the same layout and it seemed to run perfectly fine with no issues.

My power supply is 5v and I am using 30% brightness for the light show and I have power injectors connected mainly every 250 or 200 pixels.
I have 2 controllers, one that runs the main show which runs everything but the mega tree and then I’ve got a seperate controller for just the mega tree. (The mega tree is also a different pixel protocol and is working perfectly fine.)

I don’t know why this is happening, could anyone give me any tips on how to fix this issue or give me any info on what’s happening here?

Do those exact pixels stay on those colours regardless of what is playing on the sequence? If they do then they may be faulty pixels.
Can you remove your power injection and just try turning on a few pixels to see what happens? It is possible to introduce problems with power injection depending on how it is done. Long cable runs can be problematic.

Check your network cables to make sure they are not damage at all, and try swapping it out on the bad controller. I had a rabbit eat part of my network cable one year and it started doing weird things with the lights and sending bad signals.

I use 12v pixels and would PI at the 150 - 200 range. It's my understanding that with 5v the power injection points are reduced which would be every 75 - 100 pixels.

Thank you for all the advice, I am not at the house with the light show right now so I can’t test anything, I should be going there tomorrow so I will try then.

We've been testing the lights. A lot of the strands for the lights have been faulty. Every 10th or 11th pixel has the connection broken between it and the next one for the arches and maybe the others too. Thinking about emailing the supplier about how after about 12 months a lot of the strands have become faulty. I purchased the lights from "lightitupleds" I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem with the lights as well.
