hi I have a question on power injection
My controllers are 12 v with 500 w waterproof power supply my question is when I want to use multiple power supply for injection do they have to be the same wattage
Cheers Greg

No. They don't have to be the same wattage. But, if you're power injecting, you need to make sure you have a common ground to all power supplies and the lights.

Thanks I did see that on the 101 guide So running 350 w or can I run smaller

You can run whatever wattage you want. Wattage doesn’t matter, in my experience. Voltage. Common ground. That’s what’s important.

That said, what are you power injecting? I’ve got 100k channels and I’m not power injecting with a separate PSU anywhere.

It was just a question I noticed on 101 info sheet there’s two ways to inject inline and multiple psu

Yea, the only injecting I do is inline. It's less messy and just much more straightforward. Less cabling in the long run.

Wattage doesn't matter IF the total power (watts) of the lights you are running is less than the total power of the power supplies you have powering them. I would also recommend not running your power supplies at or near full capacity.

Yea. True point. Sort of just assumed that was a given.
