Hi

This is my second year doing a pixel setup and I'm wondering if there is a cleaner way to connect my laptop to my controller when running a sequence. As of right now I have a pixlite 16 mkII and I connect my laptop directly into it via the Ethernet port on the board.

Ideally I would like to have my laptop inside without having to run a cable out to the controller.

Are there wireless adaptors that will allow me to do this?

Thanks in advance

You will find a lot of users here would suggest that you don't go down the Wi-Fi route, as cable is king when it comes to light shows, you won't experience stutter, lag, latency, dropped frames with a cable, however you are likely to with Wi-Fi. If you really must, you could try a raspberry pi running FPP, and then connect that to your show with ethernet, as well as connecting it wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi network, that way you can access the show player to start/stop the show over Wi-Fi, and not compromise your display

If you want wireless control - my best option is
Raspberry PI running FPP as a player -
connect to your Raspberry PI via wireless
connect your ethernet of the PI to your controller
Setup proxy in the FPP - follow greg mcaree yotutube to do this

use your laptop to do the sequencing, but use the Raspberry pi with FPP in player mode to run

best of all worlds this way, and no lag or stutter on the controller
