Well, it's finally done. The show runs at 100 FPS (pay no mind to the P5 panel). Please enjoy this glimpse into my questionable life choices.

At some point, I will write about the adventure in some detail on my site.

what fps is the video? I can't honestly tell the difference (I game at 75 fps so maybe I'm not the best judge)

Very cool, but no idea if 100fps makes a difference in person. You tell us, worth the jump from 40?

Must have been a huge show overhaul from a wiring/controllers/networking point of view. I shudder to think how much work that would be.

As long as you stay under about 300px per port, you can do it pretty straightforward. Anyone not doing power injection is likely at that limit anyway.

Maybe i'm thinking how hard it would be for me.

I run almost every channel at around 600 pixels.

quite a few new controllers etc.

Yeah if you're port packing or using things like smart receivers chained then absolutely it'll be harder to split up.

That. Everything is near to a controller, and I use the controller ports for power, and if you are doing that you may as well send data too... so, I might have split a dozen ports to get below 300 (spooky tree, fan arches, radio, come to mind) and this was easy because I used standard 50- and 100-node strings and most of the xConnectors are still there on the back. Pushed a couple of Hinks controllers toward simpler applications where there were no 300s. Also, I had already gotten rid of all my smart receivers in 2023/2024 to make my setup much easier and more flexible.

If you have a lot of 600s, you can still do 50FPS, which is 10 more than 40.
