Cheap extension cords @ Target (AU)

Hi all,

Target in Australia currently has 10 metre 240v 10A 3 core 16aug extension cables for $5 each (50c per metre).
White colour insulation but if this doesn't matter for your display could be a cheap option for making your own extensions

Hi Guys,

Bunnings also has heavy duty leads for a pretty decent price.
Is it ok to use this for my tail connections and cable runs? Is there any issues with using this?

i use those for my mains runs. the cable itself is not that heavy they just have thick insulation.

So it will be ok to cut the cables up and use them for extending the tails between props and back to the controller? Its cheaper than buying 100m 3 core cable roll.

Coming from a sparky, you’ll be best using the cheap light duty leads between props and from the controller.
The heavy duty leads are heaps harder to strip back and will be way too think compared to your pigtails and pixel wires.
