2013 Show done - now we prepare for 2014

I had some challenges setting up for this year. Spent a couple of weeks in hospital with pneumonia and complications, but some random volunteers came by to help set up the show. Then after a very warm day or two we had a couple of days of continuous rain which ruined so many pixels on the mega trees that I had to take both down and create one from the remaining pixels.

In the end I however had a brilliant turnout over the two weeks the show was running. Really looking forward to 2014 now.

I forgot - the questions that were asked on the forum.

1. Yes the tree is covered with a clear plastic rain coat which was the brilliant idea of my wife. Although the pixels are supposed to be IP68 rated I lost at least 50% of them after a few days of rain. This prevented any further loss of pixels.

2. The tree is 36 strands of 50 pixels with power injection after 100 pixels.

3. The matrix is 20 * 5m strips of 50 pixels each but I had to disable the last strip as that actually got water in the casing as well.
