4 wire pixels

How do you power inject 4 wire pixels , do you just cut the red positive wire from the first supply and leave the negative to join the new one or do you also have to cut the negative from the first supply also?
I assume you leave it to provide the joint return path for the data which was joined at the original controller end

Right. Same as 3 wire, you want the common negative or the data (and backup data on the 4th wire, which is the only difference vs 3 wire) will go nuts.
