Aldi fog machine

Was doing a spot of shopping at Aldi this morning and came across this fog machine in the discount bin for $20. Could be good for halloween. But at $20 you can't go wrong i reckon!

I had one of these a few years back as my original machine for my DJ gigs died. This one lasted barely a year so beware you may only get a couple of seasons out of it. It is a bargain price though.

Is there a way to control these via an AC/DC controller? I presume cutting the remote open and bridging some of the wires inside? These could be switched via a higher voltage DC controller?

I've had one of these lying around for ages, always wanted to use it for xmas
