Turns out the Gero67 had an issue with incorrect suffix. The file had an mp3 suffix but was actually an mp4a file. Opening with VLC and looking for the codec info showed the actual codec info. The mp4a (and other formats) can be converted to mp3 by opening with Audacity and exporting as an mp3.
