I purchased 3 coro props (singing tree, flake, talking character) from a local vendor and custom length strings to match them but when pushing pixels, it appears each string has 2 pixels more than the props.
  • I have checked the props multiple times and cant see i have missed holes.
  • I have tested the strings through Baldrick and they appear to be the correct length.
  • I have had my kids count pixels abd they get the right number.
Is there any other way I should be checking where the issue is prop or string)? I have tried counting holes in props but once it gets over 200 it gets a bit hard to keep track given some of the patterns..?

Just not sure how this could happen if the props are supposed to be based on commonly used American models?

Given I have used these models in Xlights, is there a way to edit them slightly to get the correct number of pixels and layout or do I need to do a completely new/custom model? Was trying to save myself effort going for custom string but it appears it isnt going to work out that way now..?

Thanks in advance

So you're saying that the strings have the number of pixels that you ordered, and that the number of pixels on the xLights model matches that, but the two don't meet?
When you are pushing the prop, you should be following the wiring diagram in xLights, and this will show the numbers... the last number matches the number you think you should have and ordered on the string but there are still 2 left? In that case, just tuck the 2 extras in the back for spares.
