defuse lights on mini?

G’DAY
I have a number of mini trees that use these 12V 12mm lights (http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/IP68-DC12V-input-12mm-through-hole-LED-channel-letter-RGB-color-100pcs-a-string/701799_522236867.html)
I like the trees but I found them to be too bright and wanted to know what people do to defuse the light on their mini trees.

not 100% certain if they would fit, but you could always go for the c7 or c9 covers that are available from Ray, or his brothers...

I dont know what the exact dimensions are at the base, but its a possibility

The c9 covers definitely fit. Here is a picture of them.

You will need to hot-glue each one onto the LED, as they will fall off without it.


(Alternatively, Ray glues them for free if you are prepared to buy new strings).

Can you simply dim them? What sequencer are you using? I ask because I dimmed my tree using a sub aster lighting channel in HLS and it did the trick well.
