Hiya, it's been a long long time since I've done anything, and not sure if I've killed the p2....

I tried Poe, 15v, please excuse my homemade jumper....

I thought there may be a blinking led to say it's alive, but even the lights on the rj45 are not lighting up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to power it up the normal way using the power terminal and ensuring you have the controller set for the correct voltage
If you try this and still get no luck then try using 5vdc as this will then bypass the voltage regulator, if this still doesn't work then I would say its a dead controller, if it does work at 5vdc then the voltage regulator is fried

I wouldn't celebrate until you actually test that you can actually connect to it because you may have damaged the RJ45 port, and without being able to send data to it then its as good as dead.

I've managed to connect to it now, and also send flashy lights flashing, and adjusting the config through the network.

Now to learn xlights......

I've had experience with HLS but looks to be that xlights is the one to go with these days.
