EsPixelstick challenge

Hi there. I am looking for some advise please. After watching the following Youtube video

I thought it would be a cheap / easy solution to have a controller to test / program my moving heads in Xlights.

My challenge comes from whenever I make any changes in the Pixelstick software, I completely loose connection to the network, and the controller becomes unusable. See screenshot.

Anybody have any ideas on how to solve this?

I know I had a similar problem with WLED. I was installing the 4mb version onto a 1mb ESP8266. It would run, but not save anything, so when any changes were made, it would lose wifi connection and I would have to start over again.

I haven't installed ESPixelstick in a while, check that you have the correct size for the ESP you are using.
