First, I'd like to thank the mods for creating a forum for EZPlayer, and thanks to all who attended talks in June+July and asked questions or gave feedback.

Since April, we have seen a few uses at trade shows, and 3 of us Yankees (that I know of) used it for our 4th of July shows. We took quite a few notes on things that were harder to use than they should be, bugs, etc., but things mostly worked.

We are trying to make it easier to find information, and now have a manual on the website: https://docs.ezplayer.dev/. The first walkthrough was done in a zoom session and was recorded, but was not edited and has not been posted yet. (Hopefully soon.)

There have been many fixes and refinements since I posted an update back in April. As for new features, the 0.5.x release focused on cloud support... you can go to a site on the internet, see status, and perform most management actions for your player such as set up playlists and schedules, play songs, set the volume, and so on.

To access this, go to the cloud screen (or Cloud within Settings), click "Register Player", and then click the link or scan the QR code:

Once you've created an account and logged in, your player will show up under "EZPlayer" on the account screen.

If you click "Manage Player" you will get access to your player from the cloud. (I recommend opening in new tab to get rid of all the EZRGB website junk that otherwise cuts down on screen real estate.)

To keep latency low and throughput high (so you can see and hear your show), the browser connection gets redirected to a player server.
EZPlayer cloud bridges are currently provisioned in:
USA (East) - fly.io
Germany - hetzner
Australia (Sydney) - courtesy of @Skymaster
We will add more regions later in the season if demand warrants. Based on current math, the remote cloud access will be free of charge, as the servers are a few dollars a month (where not donated), we only need them for December, and each one should handle a fair number of players.

Also, as part of cloud support, the EZRGB people added sync with their rendering service. You can push your layout to the cloud and it will render and fetch the sequences from your account. I've heard that this year you can sync your PPD sequences to EZRGB cloud, but haven't tried. With all the cloud features together, you should be able to get a sequence, have the cloud render it, and be able to play it, all from anywhere with internet access.

As for what's next, a 0.6.x release is in the works, with the largest projects already merged in. This release focuses on controller support, UI refinements, API+CLI extensions, and miscellaneous fixes. You can try it out yourself now if you like, but we'll release it as the latest download version in the middle of the month, and I expect to post some details and screenshots then.
