Hi All

I am trying to set up 2 DMX floods in xlights but having no luck getting them to work, I have made a ethernet to dmx lead using the pin outs and colors shown in the manual and have configured the floods to channels d001 and d008 on there settings.
These are sequenced into xlights and shown to be working with the rendered sequence
I have also tried the test mode within the falcon and they do not respond there either
I have attached some screenshots of my settings and assume that as everything else in my show is under xlights control these also should be?
Am I correct in leaving the setting in the falcon serial ports as "absolute addressing" or should it be 2Universe / start channel" as if its the latter then I get a red marker in the start channel

Hope someone can help here
Thanks
Gerald

You don't need to worry about the falcon settings as xLights will do it for you when you drag your props in visualiser. this all appears to be set correctly however.

If test mode on the Falcon isn't working, i would be validating that the start addresses of the fixtures are set correctly, (1 + 8) and that the cable is indeed wired correctly.
Until that works, you'll be struggling to figure out what else could be wrong.

Thank you Skymaster, It was the wiring on the DMX plug at fault (I need to get my specs changed)

I have corrected this now and I can output test from the Falcon and from a sequence in xlights

However at present I cannot get a sequence to play from FPP , but this could be down to the uploads using fpp connect I will try looking into this one further and deleting them from the player, re rendering and uploading to see if I can correct this one

Thank you again and although this is only my 3rd year, It will not be the first time that I always look for major problems when it is the basics that are often the case! something that I am sure a lot of us do when working on this hobby
