Frustrated newbie

I'm new to the forum and can't figure out how to PM someone to start a conversation. I go to the envelope on the top right corner and I get nothing other than show all. Could someone walk me through how to PM someone so I am able to talk directly to them.

It might be because your new so the system might not allow it. If that is the case, then post a response and tag the person you want to talk to and ask them to send you a PM.

In addition, I think some features are disabled until you post in the forums... which you've now done.

This is exactly the reason. It's to stop new accounts from privately spamming members. At least if a single forum post is made it's a little more obvious whether the new account is likely a spammer or not.

You might find it better to post on the forum your question, a few of the members know what they are doing
