[QUOTE="Skymaster, post: 134909, member: 36626"] Tensioning is not the problem, it's bringing it back down where it binds. The wire pulling from the top of the side that's angled down counteracts the binding. However when lowering, the winch wire when loosened doesnt prevent the binding. So by pulling on the back of the topper levels it back out and prevents that binding. It's 100% adjustable, it's fixed onto the topper side, but once the tree is up, I loop it on the base ring and clamp it off. It needs adjusting if I raise or lower the top. The topper side is fixed into the center at the back, but that was a mistake, as I need to pull it to one side due to my ground / base ring not being totally level causing them star to sit wonky. So I've cable tied it across onto the right-hand side when looking from the back, which allows me to pull it level from both front-to-back as well as left-to-right. The title of our introductory lighting manual contains a three digit number. What is that number? Clue: Display basics forum
