I've finally hit the part where excitement meets reality and I am feeling overwhelmed and confused.

I can see that making a sequence is going to take a LOT of time.

Seems the common recommendation is to find existing sequences and use those for a first timer. But I am having trouble locating sequences. When I found one, I then realized that the display probably won't match mine. Is this where I would just massage those issues but be happy I have a baseline?

What is in your layout or available to add to the layout. If you are doing Light-o-Rama the answer is a lot different than. If you got some pixels... I think last time you were considering some?

I've got 16 channels, going 'normal' incandescent with the idea of turning them off and on to the beat.
2 Channels for a tree out front
6 channels for 3 poles in front of the doorway of my home
1 trimming the outer portion of the house
The remaining 7 will be around windows 3 up top and 4 on the bottom

Your best bet is to use an existing sequence to start. LoR has a layout guide to tell you how to assign the 16 channels so that other people's sequences (their sequences) "just work" out of the box.
