This year to power some props further away and a mega tree I purchased a HE123 RJ and 4 x HE123 EX extensions. Before I go plug everything in and power up I just wanted to confirm I have power right. The HE123 has its own power supply which is also powering about 400 pixels.
I have 3 EX extensions for my megatree which I am powering off a HP 750w power supply, each of the 12 strands is connected to one of the outputs of the EX (3 lots of 4) and the power supply is connected to each of the 3 EXs.
The last EX I am powering about 600 pixels, I have connected another power supply direct to the seperate EX. I was also thinking of using this power supply to power the mega tree’s star off a port on the HE123 but then got thinking about ground issues.
I just want to be sure that I am not going to run into any power issues with 3 power supplies.
