I'm back to trying a Christmas lighting project here in SoCal after a 10 year hiatus. I have 3 xmus/renard16 controllers I built in '08 and a raspberry pi2 to run the '19 display. I have no experience with the software or hardware of today. I've installed xlights 2019.3 on the computer and fpp v2.5.3 is running on the pi.
I figure a 5v 3a and a 12v 5a power supply and will run the pi and the 3 ren16 boards. 48 channels. I'm thinking about a falcon picap to pair with the pi and maybe get a little experience with a few rgb pixel strings. This might increase my need for 12v.?
All my old lights are incandescent, so time to get a feel for leds. First stop, the 101 manual.
Come with me on the journey that is going to be my 2019 project for my granddaughters.
Thanks,
