Very new to Christmas lighting with pixels. Started out last year with a megatree kit and it worked out very well. Now I want to add some more displays but need to learn how to accomplish this. The x-lights web site I was looking at suggested AusChristmasLighting as a very source to learn more about this topic.

Welcome @JimB !
Read up on the ACL 101 manual. https://auschristmaslighting.com/wiki/AusChristmasLighting-101 .

As I saw a comment on a newbie's Facebook post:
"Hope your single, rich, and have a full liquor cabinet."

Read up, study, study, plan and repeat. Make sure you know what you're wanting before you spend money!

I would diffidently look around before buying kits, much cheaper and more suited when custom made. And it's part of the fun making your own!

Welcome to ACL @JimB. You'll find tons of information and helpful people here. If unsure ask questions before placing an order. This hobby is very much DIY. You can buy a "kit" but at some point you will need to learn to solder, etc. If you have questions don't hesitate to start a thread or stop by the chat room and ask away. I would highly recommend posting a pic of your planned layout to get some input on the best way to accomplish your goal. Best of luck with the display in 2020!

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded the manual and am reading through it now. It’s been very helpful. Jim
