Hey everyone, found this site while doing some regular googling about vintage disco lighting, and thought I'd join up and say Hi
My interest isn't firmly in Christmas lighting although I do enjoy doing it and seeing the amazing displays year after year, my displays have never been anything groundbreaking.
Where my interest lies is in vintage Aussie disco lighting and sound equipment from the 1970's and early 1980's in particular. I have a period correct late 70's setup, including the mixer my father used in that era as a mobile DJ here in Sydney, it being the only surviving piece of gear we still had by 2006. All of my setup is home built/assembled.
I also have a bunch of other gear, mainly old Ceitex, Jands, and kit built lighting controllers that I have collected, as well as audio gear as well.
Auto electrician and heavy vehicle mechanic of 17 years, but electronics and electrical has always been a life long hobby for me.
If anyone would like I'm happy to share some photos and stories, and also my efforts when it comes to my Christmas lighting later on this year.
Regards
- Ben
