I have been researching "how to do" a Christmas Light show.
I do not know why it took me so long to come to this web site ... there is so much information, and so many knowledgeable people here !!


I used to do stage lighting for rock bands, so I have an affinity for music + lights (albeit, manually controlled).


My first idea was to go down the LOR mains road .... and then I discovered the world of E1.31, DMX, and RGB LEDS.
That is one big learning curve !!!
I think I have now found most of the main pieces to the puzzle, so now to get some gear and start to play with it.


Thanks for welcoming me here and I hope to become a contributor as soon as possible (now I am still in "sponge" mode - soaking up all the info I can get !!!
 
Welcome to ACL, glad you finally found the forum and that it seems to have the info your looking for.

Feel free to 'sponge' as much as you need and ask any questions, also jump into the chat room as there is normally a great bunch of guys in there always willing to help. When you feel confident enough then feel free to contribute in any way.
