Hi All,
While I'm not new to animated lighting, I'm relatively new to this board.
I started a serious display in 2004, with the main feature being our 14m high Pine tree in the front yard. My first controller was an ICICLE 8 channel, used to control 8 pairs of candy canes on the verandah.
From then on I was hooked. I found Planet Christmas and Computerchristmas, which led me to building a 64 channel Olsen 595 controller for 2005, and a heap of 8 channel SSR's, which are all still used.
I later found the DIYC Forum, and the Aussie-LOR-Users group.
Last year I added a Ren-64, which gave some dimmable control.
I am very much a DIY kind a guy. Over the last few years, I've built wire frames, plywood cutouts, mini trees and leaping arches. My website is at www.manningchristmas.com.au
I heard about this forum during the Sydney mini that was organised through DIYC earlier this year.
I plan on using a lot more colour in future displays, and RGB is in my near future.
Cheers
Dave
