Annoying Elf
Hello people with Christmas light addiction!
I've been needing to join this forum for a while now. It now makes more sense since i've started synchronizing my lights to music.
I'm a youngster in the world of computerised lighting. I'm definitely a cheapskate as well, converting to pixels is going to be a challenge.
My first controllers (2018) use an Arduino to power 12v lights via transistors. Any lights that weren't 12v used a voltage regulator to lower the voltage to 5v or 3v (depending on the string) which means that I can't dim/adjust brightness . I'll post a photo of this soon.
I've only used Vixen lights software and willing to try xLights when I get a chance.
I'll be needing to learn a lot more about pixel lighting.
Side notes:
I may not be actively contributing as I am a person who watches and excuse my bad spelling.
Thanks!
