Hello! My name is Andy, and I won a LOR starter package in a raffle a few days ago. I’v been interested in getting started in this for years but just haven’t. I plan on taking my time, learning everything I can, and putting a display together for next year. I look forward to reading through all the post and learning from everyone’s experience.

Welcome Andy and congrats on the win!
Not sure what parts/equipment are part of your prize kit but if you're new to the hobby, best to start off with the 101 manual to familiarize yourself with how things all go together and understand some of the language and terminology.
There's lots in the forums, plenty of videos on YouTube but of course you can always jump into chat or see if there are any more local blinky nutters that you could get some guidance from.

Hello any. I also am new but would like to make a suggestion. If this is something you think you would like to get into don’t put it off until next year. I’m not saying get something up for Christmas this year but maybe something as a garden feature for summer, a child’s room, a workshop, entertainment system. Just something small you can start now so you don’t put it away until next year then forgets it.
