Hi this year I have decided to try and make my own display. Just wondering if this would all work or if I should change anything so here it is.

The main component will be a 8 channel controller using:Arduino mega (
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262690277898
) with a 8 channel solid state relay (
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/351374614740
) assambeled in a waterproof electrical box (
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322762981272
) wired into the relay there are 8 female ends of extension cords (https://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-2m-10amp-household-extension-lead_p4330418) to plug pre existing lights into. I plan to use the code detailed on this site (http://kbarre123.github.io/blog/2015/01/02/arduino-plus-vixen-3-equals-merry-christmas/)

I also plan to have 4 pixel arches using a arduino uno (
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/162588230815
) housed in a waterproof box's(http://www.ebay.com/itm/191936074142) connected to 4 2.5 metre ws2812b strips (https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32829638704.html) in a arch (not sure what to use to form the arches) . Powered using the included power supply's. The uno's will run the code from the following site (http://doityourselfchristmas.com/forums/showthread.php?37245-mutliple-pixels-strings-on-arduino).

This will all be controlled from a pi1b+ running fpp running a sequence programmed in vixen 3.

EDIT: changed rgb strip

Thanks for reading and any advice you may offer.

I don't know about all elements of your setup but I believe you will need more power from your power supplies. Not sure of your pixel strip specs, but my experience says full on white should draw about 18 Amps for 300 LEDs.
