Yes, thanks Dave. It's all working good.
I just didn't occur to me that there could be three RGB LEDs controlled as one. It hasn't happened to me before.

Anyhow, we move on - I am not now ordering more LEDs for this Christmas - it is acceptable the way it is.
Hope to catch up with the Brisbane mini next year, we were overseas for this years one.

Hi guys, I was reading through this thread and wanted to pass on that I ran into this same scenario. From that point on I have always counted the IC's and no the leds. For strings it is a 1/1 but for strips, most older ones are as you found out 1 IC / 3 leds
