Help with arduino driven Led text display.

I am trying to make a text display.
I have the matrix set up wired and can make it light up with
diffrent patterns.


I am using an arduino uno, I don't know how to make a sketch.
The one's that I have been able to use are from the available libraries on
adafruit fastled etc.


I cant find one that works for a scrolling text, anyone have any experience/advice
or can point me in a direction

there are E1.31 to pixels, approx 240 pixels per arduino controller..
so if you wanted to be safe you could say 170pixels an 1 universe per arduino controller
