I am a semi retired electronics technician. I live in Ontario Canada. I came across this very interesting hobby, so I thought it would make a great past time.
Already purchased a Kulp16A-B with beaglebone black as well as about 600 WS2811's. Hoping to get some arches up for Xmas this year.

Electronics technician and this hobby is a great mix.
DIY is the best part of this hobby when you know how to do things. A lot of people now buy things pre-made in this hobby and that has spoiled it for me.

Have a read over the 101 manual. Basically everything old and new in the pixel lighting.
